Founder’s Day: Honouring 130th Anniversary of CMC Ludhiana

Punjabi Headline (HSKITTY)  Christian Medical College celebrated its 130th anniversary on 24th March 2024 at Lady Willingdon Hall hosting reunion for MBBS batch of 1974, 1990 and 1993. This day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birthday of Founder of CMC Ludhiana

Dr. Edith Mary Brown. It was a serene moment for medical alumni within the country and abroad to reconnect with friends and batchmates and witness the growth and evolution of the institution over the years. The event commenced with tribute to alumni ascended to heaven by lighting a candle and observing silence for a minute by their batchmates. Dr William Bhatti (Director), Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian (Principal), Dr Ajay Kumar (President of Association of Medical Alumni, CMC, LDH) and representatives of batch of 1974, 1990 and 1993 inaugurated the function. Dr Kamaldeep Gill senior most alumni present from Batch of 1974 continued the symbolic tradition of passing lit candle to junior most alumni Dr Ebin and Dr Abhishek representatives of MBBS 2018 batch who have recently joined the alumni of CMC Ludhiana; reminding and cherishing the motto of alma mater. The campus witnessed alumni renewing their lifelong connection to the institution and reminiscing past days in CMC as they collected their mementoes.

The medical audience were enraptured by the success and service of these CMC graduates in various health sectors and the event concluded with rejuvenated alumni relishing old memories and creating new ones at CMC. The alumni appreciated the progress made by their alma-mater in last six years.
