TOGETHER WE SHARED AND LEARNED: Patient Support Group Meeting for CML and GIST Held in Ludhiana


Punjabi Headline(H S  KITTY)   The CML and GIST Patient Support Group held a successful meeting in Ludhiana, themed “Together We Share and Learn.” The event brought together patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to share insights on managing Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST).

, with a welcome address by  Dr. M. Joseph John, Associate Director & Professor, Department of Clinical Haematology.
The agenda featured inspiring patient and caregiver stories of resilience, a presentation by Dr. Chirag Trivedi ontreatment milestones such as MMR, DMR, CMR, and TFR, and a lively Q&A panel. The panel included Dr. M. Joseph John, Dr. Pankaj Malhotra (HOD, Clinical Haematology and Medical Oncology, PGIMER, Chandigarh), Dr. Chirag Trivedi, and Ms. Viji Venkatesh (Region Head South Asia, The Max Foundation), who addressed audience queries and shared valuable knowledge.
Ms. Viji Venkatesh also shared stories of hope and the support provided by The Max Foundation, while Ms. Priyanka Kandalgaokar and Mr. Sandeep Mahil highlighted the impact of Friends of Max in fostering a supportive community.


The day concluded with a networking lunch, fostering connections among participants.
